Two articles appeared today about hacking into cars. This despite Fiat Chrysler Autos making updated software availabe (but not making sure everyone got the message)

They are back to using a direct connection (so not yet a threat for bluetooth cars next to you) but steering and brakes can be manipulated AT ANY SPEED. Watch the video on this page to see them run the car into a ditch at 30 MPH.

https://www.wired.com/2016/08/hackers-fool-tesla-ss-autopilot-hide-spoof-obstacles/ a different group of researchers found they could hide vehicles completely in the Tesla autopilot. They were also able to spoof vehicles to the autopilot. Unfortunately the wired site is sensitive to ad blockers in your browser. They ask you to make an exception for their site, so they can force ads on you. Hitting the page refresh key (Usually F5 ) refreshes the page and gives you a few more seconds to read their article before succumbing to their demands. I read these sites by using F5, and remembering that this site thinks it is special, and I seldom go to these sites.
