Latest info on LiFePO4, specifically Sky Energy batteries?
« on: January 15, 2010, 09:50:47 PM »
I'm at the point of ordering batteries for my S10 conversion and WAS going for 24 Trojan T-105s.  But a friend is suggesting 40 SE100AHA batteries from Sky Energy.  The price for the batteries themselves is getting much closer to lead-acid than it was only a year or two ago.  If I can get the same range out of the 40 Skys, I'll take it!  I'm concerned about (1) the connections between batteries (2/0 welding cable probably won't do the trick) and (2) the threaded connections - lead studs would fail after getting heated up, will these?
I also need to clarify what kind of BMS I need, if anyone has info or experience.
Thanks!
