Chip's preparation and focus paid off. Congratulations to Chip Yates for running an impressive 12:50 on Pike's Peak on Sunday. This put him 9th of _all_ the 112 motorcycles that competed in the event. This easily topped our 16:55 record time set last year. (We did not compete this year.)
What is important to note is that this is that this is Chip's first time at the event. It typically takes a rider many years of competition on Pike's Peak to learn the course and to finish even in the top half. It is one of the very most difficult tracks in the world, since it is both pavement and dirt with 156 turns over 12.4 miles with nearly a mile of elevation gain.
